Josephine | Newborn

This precious little one visited my Queen Anne studio recently, and I’m so excited to share some favorites from her newborn session. She was an absolute dream—peaceful, content, and perfectly cooperative throughout our time together.

Newborn sessions are always special, but there’s something about capturing those first days that never gets old. For this session I chose a palette of soft grays and neutrals with touches of warmth, which created such a timeless, classic feel for her portraits.

From cozy wrapped poses to those tiny detail shots that parents treasure forever, Josephine gave me everything. Those little toes, that perfect button nose, and the way she curled up so peacefully—these are the fleeting moments that make newborn photography so meaningful.

I also loved including a few family portraits during the session. There’s nothing quite like seeing new parents gazing at their baby with such love and wonder. These images become even more precious as the years go by and those newborn days feel like a distant memory.

If you’re expecting and want to capture your baby’s first days, newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 12 days after birth.
