Morgan | Sitting Milestone Session

Baby Morgan came into the studio for his sitting session, and he did not disappoint! That beautiful smile, those curious eyes, and all that personality shining through—I was smitten from the moment he arrived.

When babies reach the sitting stage, sessions become so much more dynamic. Morgan could sit up beautifully on his own, which gave us those classic portraits that parents love. But here’s what makes this age so fun to photograph: babies who can sit are usually also happy to crawl around, lay on their backs, and explore. Morgan did all of it!

These milestone sessions are such an important part of documenting a baby’s first year. He’s no longer the sleepy newborn his parents remember, but he’s not quite a toddler yet either. It’s this perfect in-between stage that deserves to be celebrated.
